Nomination #6 - Out of Africa (1985) won Best picture that year. Meryl did not win though her portrayal of real-life Danish woman Karen Blixen again showed just how far this woman can go.
And who can forget that famous first phrase uttered with a Danish accent: “I had a farm in Africa.”?
